Joseph R. Colantuono

Joseph R. Colantuono is a recipient of Missouri's Lon O. Hocker Trial Attorney Award, and is the 2009 / 2010 President of the Earl E. O’Connor Inn of Court. He practices employment and business litigation. He is licensed in Kansas, Missouri, the United States District Courts of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri, the Fifth, Eighth and Tenth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He has substantial experience in business litigation and Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, wage/hour and non-compete litigation.

Mr. Colantuono graduated from the University Nebraska College of Law, and has been practicing in metropolitan Kansas City for 33 years. Mr. Colantuono is AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell, and is a member of the Ethics and Grievance Committee of the Johnson County Bar Association.

Robert J. Bjerg

Robert J. Bjerg has more than 28 years of civil trial experience, with an emphasis in commercial, corporate and employment disputes. He has successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials and arbitration proceedings across the country. Bob is authorized to practice law in all courts in Kansas and Missouri, and he is admitted to the United States Courts of Appeal for the Tenth and Eighth Circuits as well as the United States Supreme Court. He is also a certified mediator.

Mr. Bjerg graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell. For the past two years, Bob has been selected by his peers as “Best of the Bar” in commercial litigation. He is a past president of the Johnson County Bar Foundation and he is involved with several civic and charitable organizations in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Bob is currently the board chairman for Sunflower House, a child abuse advocacy center for Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.

Rick Guinn

Rick Guinn has 28 years of trial experience through the Johnson County, Kansas, District Attorney 's Office, and the Office of the Kansas Attorney General. Rick has been the lead trial attorney in over 100 jury trials, and most recently directed the Criminal Division of the Kansas Attorney General’s Office. Rick is a former president of the Johnson County Bar Association, and is a Master in the Earl E. O'Connor Inn of Court. In 2007, Rick was appointed by Governor Kathleen Sebelius to serve on the Governor’s Task Force for Child Protective Services. Rick was previously named prosecutor of the year by the Kansas City Arson Task Force. He also served as a board member for the Johnson County Bar Foundation as well as the Sunflower House, a child advocacy center. Rick received his bachelor of science degree in business from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, in 1977. He obtained his law degree from Washburn Law School in Topeka in 1980.

Katherine A. Worthington

Katherine A. Worthington is a 2001 graduate of the University of Kansas College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas.

She practices primarily in the areas of employment law and business litigation. She is admitted to practice in Kansas, Missouri, the United States District Courts for the District of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Katherine I. Tracy

Katherine I. Tracy is a 2002 graduate of Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 1999.

Elizabeth A. Hanson

Elizabeth A. Hanson graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2005. While in law school, she was a member of the UMKC Law Review. Ms. Hanson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from Kansas State University. Prior to law school, she worked as a Human Resources Generalist.
